23 There is much food in the field of the poor,
but it is swept away[a] by injustice.[b]
24 He who withholds his rod hates his child,
but he who loves him gives him[c] discipline.
25 The righteous eats to satisfy his life,[d]
but the belly of the wicked will lack.
